Africa media and Information Technology Initiative (AfriMITI) conducted a one day workshop on Media and Internet security; how best to safeguard journalist from hacking by using encryption. As a member of the global encryption, pledges on advocating and promoting strong end-end encryption for data hence finds it fit for the Global Encryption and #Maketheswitch campaign.

The workshop had panelists who discussed extensively on key issues around Encryption in Nigeria. Ranging from civil Society, Media, Government Agencies and Private Sector.
